Haunted Tunnels
Tunnels seem like the perfect place for ghosts to do whatever ghosts love to do.

On the last tunnel watch that we did we didn’t see the apparition of Emily the ghost, but some of the ghosthunters on this occasion reported seeing black shadows and white shadows moving along the walls. We all experienced a human type figure at the exit of the tunnel (directly in front of us) which had a dirty green appearance. It appeared to be moving in a rapid motion and waving it’s arms about madly. Was the ghost teasing us? A person’s shape cannot be viewed in the exit of the tunnel from where we were sitting. This was an unusual sighting indeed.

Most commonly known as the Picton or Mushroom Tunnel, it is the subject of many ghostly and supernatural tales. Strange glowing lights have been seen floating through and around the tunnel. Rapid drops in temperature and sudden breezes like those caused by an approaching train have been felt. The ghost of woman named Emily Bollard who was struck and killed by a train in 1916 is said to haunt the tunnel.

Me too. When I was little I always imagined coming out on the other side of the Limehouse tunnel and being in a totally different reality or dimension or something. Spooky!

me and my friend last half term we went to Whitby in england and there is this tunnel there near the whale bones (i dunno if many of you have been to whitby and or seen the tunnel there) the tunnel was built by the same man who brought the railways to whitby but i forgot his name. the tunnel he built was a replicer of a tunnel on a railway but in a miniture form. In Whitby many a tale has been said about this tunnel and the locals tell you not to go into it after dark. Me and my friend after being told this decided to go into the tunnel after dark. nothing real bad happened but the second we stepped foot in the tunnel we felt that we wasnt alone. we had this feeling all the time we was in the tunnel until we exited it on the other side. the tunnel starts on a road and finishes at the top of some stairs. my friend has this thing about stairs and she doesnt like goin down them if she doesnt know where they end. so we had to turn round and go back through the tunnel this time i was leading and and first 1/2 of the tunnel my friend was gripping tight on my hand. as we entered the second 1/2 of it i felt the grip go on my hand i turned round and my friend was stood dead still looking at the side of the tunnel i asked her if she was ok and she replied shut up and stay still i asked her why and she said because theres a man following us. i looked down the tunnel to where we had just been and there was nothing there i shouted out “hello!” and there was no reply the next thing i know my friend grabbed my hand and we ran stright out the tunnel. fot the rest of the week she wouldnt go anywhere near the tunnel and when i ask her about it she just stands dead still and shakes her head. as anyone else been in that tunnel and had the same experience?

anybody heard about the ashbourne tunnel in the peak district is it haunted my friend went there and was filming his cycle ride through the tunnel on his mobile phone when he showed us the fotage just before the end of the tunnel on the right hand side there was an image of a little girl in like a white dress and long dark hair look forward to your reply
