My BFF really was Joan of Arc
Okay, I have never been the type that pretended to be historical characters when I was a kid. It seemed silly to me, (I was more of a “let’s levitate Nanny” type) but not to my best friend forever Sharon. Sharon would skip out on playing with my Ouija Board to go home and pretend to be Joan of Arc. I know she sounds bonkers. Trust me, she isn’t. When I was little I just thought Sharon loved all the stories about Joan. I really didn’t know too much about Joan of Arc and I honestly didn’t pay too much attention to all this, until recently. Sharon’s Mum and Dad went to the States to visit her brother and Sharon came to stay with my family for a week. Of course we had a great time! I think it was the third or fourth night when Sharon sat on the end of my bed and told me she was Joan of Arc in a previous life. I had a laugh for a moment and then saw the look in her eyes. She was dead on serious. Sharon went on to tell me that ever since she was a baby, she has had flashes of memories of her previous life. She had no idea what any of it meant until she rented the dvd of Joan of Arc (the movie with Leelee Sobieski). Sharon said it was like she was watching her life. The next night we ran out and rented the dvd and Sharon told me all about everything she could remember from her previous life. She also pointed out a few things in the movie that were just not true. After that I knew Sharon was telling the truth. She was Joan of Arc. I’m so glad she has had another chance to live again. Seemed like her first life was really, really hard.

That’s soooo cool! I wish something like that happened to me!
If you could have been someone in a past life, who would you be? I think I would have been Amelia Earhart. Or maybe Sylvia Plath! We had to read her in class, but she killed herself!

Poor poor Sylvia. She was a tortured soul. If I could pick anyone I would choose Vivian Leigh. She was an amazing stage and movie actress and even though I am not at all the “actress” type, it would have been very cool to have been her. Or Rachel Carson! I just learned about her in my earth science class. She was a very cool writer and I think the first person to write about the problems in our environment. I guess you should know I’m a “greeny”.

That’s funny, because I was watching The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas on television the other night and was able to point out nearly all the factual errors! That’s why I know I used to be a 1950s cartoon character.

Comparing to what I’ve read about this before, it sounds absolutely impressing. I’m an old internet user, and have read a lot about this kind of stuff, but what I read here today is absolutely different.
